Reading manager Jaap Stam has no fresh injury worries as his side face Plymouth in the Sky Bet EFL Cup.
Yann Kermorgant will be hoping to start for the Royals after coming off the bench in their 1-0 win over Preston in the Sky Bet Championship on Saturday following an injury which kept him out of pre-season.
Stephen Quinn remains unavailable but could be closer to a return for the weekend and Dominic Samuel will not feature due to a knee problem.
Joseph Mendes has returned to training but is not back to full match fitness.
Plymouth boss Derek Adams could make a number of changes to the side that suffered a 3-0 defeat to Luton at the weekend.
Goalkeeper Vincent Dorel may be preferred to captain Luke McCormick, who was at fault for one of the Hatters' three goals.
David Ijaha could keep his place in the side but Karleigh Osborne and Nauris Bulvitis may make their first starts in defence.
