Three huge fixtures kick off biggest season yet...

Sky Sports has announced the first set of live Barclays Premier League fixtures ahead of its biggest season of HD football. This season Sky Sports will show 115 live Premier League fixtures with every match available in HD. In consultation with the Premier League, Sky Sports has confirmed 44 live games up until the end of November. The season starts with Tottenham Hotspur v Manchester City, live on Sky Sports HD2 on Saturday August 14. Click here for the full list of live fixtures The first Ford Super Sunday of the season will be Liverpool v Arsenal, live on Sky Sports HD1, followed by the return of Ford Monday Night Football between Manchester United and Newcastle United on Sky Sports HD1 on August. 16. The fixtures are part of a record number of live HD football matches across four dedicated Sky Sports HD channels; Sky Sports HD1, Sky Sports HD2, Sky Sports HD3 and Sky Sports HD4. Sky Sports News will also be available in HD in August. The latest fixtures - updated throughout the season on www.skysports.com - include: ALL THE CLUBS: Every team, including all three newly promoted clubs, at least once by the beginning of November. BIG HEAD-TO-HEADS: Six matches between last year's top five teams, six major derbies, plus Manchester United v Liverpool on September 19. FORD MONDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL: The return of Monday Night Football, starting with Manchester United v Newcastle United at Old Trafford on August 16. HD & 3D: Every match will be available in HD, providing the very best picture quality and sound. Selected live matches will also be in 3D which will work with all existing Sky+HD boxes and initially be introduced at no extra cost for customers who subscribe to Sky's top TV package and the Sky HD pack. Barney Francis, Managing Director of Sky Sports, said: "This season we will have more live Barclays Premier League games than ever before and all in HD. "This is a great line-up of fixtures starting with Tottenham Hotspur against Manchester City and we'll show last year's top five across the first two weekends of the season. "Monday Night Football is also back and we have a mouth-watering opening fixture between Manchester United and Newcastle United on 16 August." This season Sky is the only place to watch all Sky Sports HD coverage of the Barclays Premier League, UEFA Champions League, npower Football League, Carling Cup, Scottish Cup, Clydesdale Bank Premier League, Spain's La Liga and Euro 2012 Qualifiers for England, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland and Republic of Ireland. Sky Sports will offer over 125 live matches from the UEFA Champions League on Sky Sports HD2, Sky Sports HD4 and via the red button, including live coverage of the final qualifying round in August. Throughout the tournament Sky Sports will show up to 15 live matches per week across the group stage including every match on Tuesday nights. The npower Football League season kicks off with Norwich City v Watford live on Sky Sports HD3 on Friday, August 6. Sky Sports will show 65 live games from across all three divisions, plus the end of season Play-Offs and all three Play-Off Finals from Wembley
