Rangers midfielder Ryan Jack has been ruled out of Scotland's Nations League double header against Albania and Israel.

Scotland head coach Alex McLeish confirmed Jack picked up an injury in Rangers' 7-1 win at home to Motherwell on Sunday.

Jack was called up alongside Scott Bain, Scott McTominay and David Bates on Monday after Charlie Mulgrew, Kevin McDonald, Stephen O'Donnell and Craig Gordon withdrew from the squad.

"Ryan is out," McLeish said. "He played the whole game for Rangers the other day and unfortunately has picked up an injury, it's just one of those things that happen.

"That's unfortunate, with Ryan getting back into the Rangers team and obviously he's got something to offer us as well, in different positions."
