Huddersfield star striker will not switch allegiances to England
Scotland Under 21 striker Jordan Rhodes insists he does not want to play for England at international level.
The Huddersfield star has been in blistering form and has scored nine goals in his last four matches for his club, including one in Tuesday's draw at Scunthorpe.
Rhodes' goalscoring has led to speculation England U21 boss Stuart Pearce could attempt to persuade the forward to switch allegiances.
But the 21-year-old is fully committed to Billy Stark's Scottish U21s and hopes to continue the form which has seen him net five goals in three appearances in their ongoing Euro 2013 qualifying campaign.
"No it's not at all," Rhodes said when asked if it was an option for him to play for England.
"It's a real honour and privilege to play for Billy Stark and Jim Fleeting with the U21s and we've got a good campaign going on at the moment, where we're nicely poised in the group.
"We've got a fixture coming up in Holland in a couple of weeks' time and that's all I'm focused on at this moment in time."
