Robbie Keane to make Ireland announcement, says Martin O'Neill

Robbie Keane is set to follow Shay Given into international retirement, Republic of Ireland manager Martin O’Neill has hinted.
Keane won his 145th cap in Ireland's 2-1 last-16 defeat to France at Euro 2016 and is his country's record scorer with 67 goals in an international career spanning 18 years.
And speaking ahead of the Football Association of Ireland's AGM in Clonmel on Saturday, O'Neill confirmed his skipper will make an announcement about his future in the near future.
"Robbie will make an announcement pretty soon," O'Neill said.
"I'll leave it to him. He has some time left with LA Galaxy and it might be a case of concentrating on that so I'll let him speak."
It remains to be seen whether Keane will make a farewell appearance for Ireland in their international friendly against Oman at Dublin's Aviva Stadium on August 31, six days before their World Cup qualification campaign starts.
Meanwhile, O'Neill insisted there is no issue surrounding an extension to his contract - which expired after Euro 2016 - suggesting he will put pen to paper in the next fortnight.
"There's not a problem, I never know what the fuss is about," he said.
"I agreed it some time ago but haven't had the chance to get over. I'd some time off after the Euros and I haven't had the chance.
"This is my first opportunity to get over. I'm away tomorrow but then I'm back in next week when I hope to see some of the European [club] games."
