Republic of Ireland women beat Slovakia in first match after recent FAI dispute

The Republic of Ireland women's team put their recent dispute with the Football Association of Ireland behind them with a 1-0 win against Slovakia in Dublin.
Stephanie Roche's second-half penalty earned the home side victory five days after they refused to attend an FAI training camp over a row about working conditions.
An agreement was finally reached with the FAI at 4am on Thursday after nine hours of talks, allowing Monday's friendly against Slovakia to go ahead.
And the side delivered a 1-0 win for manager Colin Bell, who presided over his first home game as Ireland boss since accepting the role in February.
Sunderland Ladies striker Roche converted from the spot to claim her 14th international goal after Megan Connolly was brought down in the penalty area two minutes after half-time.
