Arsenal midfielder Mesut Ozil overcame a back problem to appear for Germany in their World Cup qualifying win over Azerbaijan.
Ozil came on as a second-half substitute in the 4-1 win, ahead of the Gunners crucial Premier League clash with Manchester City live on Sky Sports 1 HD next weekend.
The midfielder had missed the midweek friendly win over England and continued to present a doubt after missing Friday's training session with back complaints.

Germany's assistant coach Michael Sorg confirmed the 28-year-old was in contention to start the Group C clash - also live on Sky Sports - but boss Joachim Low chose to name him among the substitutes.
"At the final training session in Baku, all 21 players were there, ready to play and Mesut Ozil could train without discomfort," Sorg said before the game.
Ozil has not played for Arsenal since their FA Cup victory over Lincoln on March 11 because of hamstring problems, missing the 3-1 defeat to West Brom last time out.
