Spain captain reveals his back-up keeper gave home key info

Spain goalkeeper Iker Casillas has revealed that his deputy Pepe Reina should take the credit for his crucial penalty save against Paraguay. Casillas saved an Oscar Cardozo spot-kick in the quarter-final clash while the scores were locked at 0-0. Spain's Xabi Alonso then had a penalty saved too before David Villa's late strike gave the European champions a 1-0 win and sent them into the World Cup semi-finals for the first time. Cardozo had scored two penalties against Reina during Benfica's Europa League win over Liverpool in April. And Spain's second-choice keeper made sure Casillas knew that Cardozo tended to fire towards the left of the keeper. "Reina told me where Cardozo liked to hit his penalties," said Casillas. "It was a nervous time. I had such a huge responsibility." Spain now face Germany in the semi-finals on Wednesday, with the winners to play either Holland or Uruguay in Sunday's final.
