Fifa suspend Argentine pair

Leandro Cufre and Maxo Rodriguez have both been handed bans by Fifa.

Argentina pair Leandro Cufre and Maxo Rodriguez have both been handed bans for their part in the post-match brawl that following their World Cup quarter final loss to Germany.

German midfielder Thorsten Frings has already served a one-match ban for his part in the scenes that followed the game in Berlin.

Fifa have now confirmed that both Cufre and Rodriguez have also been punish for their actions.

Cufre has picked up a four-match ban and fined 10,000 Swiss francs while Rodriguez has been given a two-match suspension and a 5,000 Swiss franc fine.
