Brazil romped to a 6-0 victory against Honduras at the 2016 Olympics to seal their spot in the final, with Neymar and Gabriel Jesus scoring.

The hosts country sent their fans into raptures as they secured themselves at least a silver medal with the victory.

Captain Neymar topped and tailed the scoring while also breaking an Olympic record with the fastest ever goal at the tournament after 15 seconds.

He added a penalty in second-half stoppage time, while new Manchester City signing Gabriel Jesus also bagged a brace during the rout.

The forward made the most of more woeful defending to net Brazil's second after 25 minutes, before finishing well for the Selecao's third ten minutes later.

Paris Saint-Germain defender Marquinhos also got in on the scoring action and added a fourth early in the second half before Luan added a fifth.

Brazil will now face Germany in the goal medal match at the Maracana - with Die Mannschaft beating Nigeria 2-0 in their semi-final fixture - although many will remember the most recent meeting between the two sides at the 2014 World Cup where Germany beat the Selecao 7-1.
