Martin's starting stats from Leicester v West Brom

West Brom are still unbeaten at the King Power in seven matches, winning five of those. That makes them the most successful unbeaten away team at that stadium, overtaking Manchester City who have played six unbeaten matches there.

Sunday was the 50th West Brom league visit to Leicester and they have each won 19 of those matches with 12 draws. January 1994 was the last time Leicester beat West Brom at home - a 4-2 success at Filbert Street. West Brom have now scored in their last 11 visits to Leicester with their last failure to do so coming during a 3-0 defeat in October 1987.

In the week of England versus Scotland at Wembley, both goalscorers for West Brom were Scotland internationals. The first was from James Morrison, who scored in the last Scotland game at Wembley, with his first Premier League goal in a year.

Highlights of Leicester 1-2 West Brom

He was born in Darlington, while the winner was scored by Matty Phillips who was born in Aylesbury. He scored his first Premier League goal for 18 months and his first goal for West Brom. His previous Premier League goal was against Newcastle in May 2015.

Sunday was Claudio Ranieri's first ever defeat to West Brom (P5 L1 D1 W3) and his first defeat to Tony Pulis (P4 L1 D1 W2). The result ended Leicester's unbeaten home run going back to September 2015. They hadn't lost in 20 matches going back to the 5-2 loss to Arsenal last season.

They have lost five of their first 11 matches this season after only losing three in all of the last campaign.

A goal for every team

Nineteen out of the 20 Premier League sides scored at the weekend. Have all 20 Premier League teams ever scored on the same weekend? Richard, London

MARTIN SAYS: As if Everton needed any more misery heaped on them, the Toffees were the only top flight side not to score last weekend following their humiliating 5-0 defeat by Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.

If Everton had scored, it would have marked only the second time in Premier League history that 100 per cent of sides netted over what is called a "matchday" by Opta.

Highlights of Chelsea 5-0 Everton

It happened on matchday 15 in 2010/11, when Manchester United's 7-1 win over Blackburn and Arsenal's 4-2 win at Aston Villa helped the Premier League goal tally hit 41.

Premier League results on November 27/28, 2010:

  • Aston Villa 2-4 Arsenal
  • Everton 1-4 West Brom
  • Bolton 2-2 Blackpool
  • Fulham 1-1 Birmingham
  • Stoke 1-1 Man City
  • Man Utd 7-1 Blackburn
  • Wolves 3-2 Sunderland
  • West Ham 3-1 Wigan
  • Newcastle 1-1 Chelsea
  • Tottenham 2-1 Liverpool

Goals galore weekends in the Premier League are a rare occurrence, this being the first time all but one team scored since matchday 36 in the 2010/11 season, with Tottenham the unlucky side following their 1-0 defeat at Manchester City.

Nineteen of the 20 Premier League sides also scored on matchday 14 in the 1996/97 season, where Southampton went down 2-0 against Leeds.

The 25,000 club

Of the 25000 goals scored. Which club has the highest? @ORLAN7PINTO

MARTIN SAYS: The team that has scored the highest number of the 25,011 Premier League goals is Manchester United, so it was perhaps fitting that Zlatan Ibrahimovic netted the 25,000th in the win at Swansea on Sunday.

United have scored 1,818 (7.26 per cent) of all Premier League goals to date, followed by Arsenal with 1,645 (6.57 per cent) and Chelsea with 1,586 (6.34 per cent).

Winning without conceding

Chelsea have won the last five games without conceding - what's the longest Premier League winning run without conceding? Pete, Surrey

MARTIN SAYS: Since losing 3-0 at Arsenal, Chelsea have won five games, scored 16 goals and conceded none, moving them up to second in the Premier League.

However, they must win their next four games without conceding to equal the Premier League record for consecutive clean-sheet wins, set by Manchester United in the 2008/09 season.

United's run started in the 1-0 win over Stoke on Boxing Day 2008, and ran for nine games until finally conceding at home to Blackburn's Roque Santa Cruz on February 21. During that run they scored 17 times without reply.

Longest run of Premier League wins without conceding

Season Team Run
2008/09 Manchester United 9
2004/05 Chelsea 8
2006/07 Chelsea 8
2005/06 Liverpool 8

Three sides have gone on an eight-game clean-sheet winning run (Chelsea 2004/05, Chelsea 2006/07 and Liverpool 2005/06), while five teams have gone six games.

Not exactly spot on

I'm sure players are missing more penalties this season than ever before. Is this the case? James, Newcastle

MARTIN SAYS: Nine of this season's 37 penalties have been missed (75.68 per cent conversion rate), which is down on recent success rates.

Arsenal, Manchester City and Crystal Palace have all missed two apiece in the Premier League this season, but the current campaign has some way to go to beat the 25 penalties missed out of 73 taken in 2001/02.

That 65.75 per cent conversion rate is the lowest in Premier League history, with 2013/14's 83.91 per cent (73 scored from 87 taken) the highest.

Season with a worse penalty conversion than this season

1994/95 97 67 69.07%
