Championship Player of the Month and Manager of the Month nominations for September

The nominees for the Sky Bet Championship League Player of the Month and Manager of the Month awards for September have been announced.

In the Sky Bet Championship, Bristol City's Tammy Abraham, Brighton centre-back Shane Duffy, striker Scott Hogan of Brentford and Norwich winger Jacob Murphy are up for the player award.

Norwich City's Alex Neil, Rafa Benitez of Newcastle, Carlos Carvahal of Sheffield Wednesday and Reading boss Jaap Stam are nominated in the manager award category.

The 19-year-old Abraham, on loan from Chelsea, has been a breath of fresh air in the Championship with another four goals in five September games while Brentford's striker Hogan has netted six in five.

Murphy has been in inspired form for Norwich out wide, finding the net four times last month.

Duffy followed up a horrific month at Blackburn Rovers with an outstanding one at Brighton, making a valuable contribution to four clean sheets in five games.

Benitez's team secured 10 points over the month, highlights included a 6-0 win at QPR and a 4-3 comeback victory over Norwich.

Wednesday had a stellar month, winning four of their five games while former Manchester United defender Stam picked up 10 points in his five games last month.
