Atlanta United scored three goals in seven minutes to beat New York City 3-1 in MLS

Miguel Almiron netted a brace as Atlanta United beat New York City 3-1 in the MLS Eastern Conference.

Almiron opened the scoring in the 16th minute before Hector Villalba made it 2-0 three minutes later.

Another goal followed in the 23rd minute when Almiron grabbed his second but he was not able to score a second successive hat-trick.

Jack Harrison pulled a goal back with 19 minutes left for the visitors.

In the MLS' other game on Sunday, Dallas drew 0-0 with Houston Dynamo, who earned their first away point of the season at the sixth attempt.
