Crystal Palace have agreed a deal in principle to sign Poland international defender Jaroslaw Jach, according to Sky sources.
The 23-year-old centre-back plays for Zaglebie Lubin, who are fifth in the Polish first division.
Jach is reportedly in London for a medical. A deal is expected to be completed in the next few days and could be announced as soon as Monday.
Palace manager Roy Hodgson has bemoaned the lack of fit players available to him and is hoping to sign at last four players in the January window with Benfica midfielder Erdal Rakip the first of them. He is expected to join the club subject to a medical.
Hodgson has had to deal with injuries to several key players; Scott Dann and Jason Puncheon are out for the season, while Ruben Loftus-Cheek is out for longer than first thought with an ankle injury.
Jeffrey Schlupp is also out for an extended period.
