Athletic Bilbao eased their relegation fears and heaped more trouble on rock-bottom Huesca with a 1-0 win in La Liga on Monday.
Raul Garcia's first-half penalty took the points as the visitors climbed seven points above the relegation zone in a congested bottom half of the table.
Huesca remain five points adrift at the bottom having won just four times in the league this season.
The hosts were unbeaten in three games, winning their last two, having breathed life into their fading survival hopes.
But the visitors took the lead after 19 minutes after Adrian Dieguez's clumsy challenge on Inigo Martinez was punished and Garcia buried the penalty.
It settled a game of few chances, with Moi Gomez's free-kick drifting wide for the hosts nine minutes after the break.
Garcia dragged wide from the edge of the box for Bilbao but David Ferreiro wasted Huesca's best chance with 15 minutes left when he cut inside but allowed Iago Herrerin to make a fine save.
