Wigan successful in appeal to overturn Jason Pearce's ban

Wigan have been successful in their appeal to overturn Jason Pearce's three-match ban following his dismissal against Millwall on Tuesday night.
The former Leeds defender was sent off in the closing stages of Latics' 2-0 loss for a challenge on Aiden O'Brien, with Lions midfielder Ed Upson also seeing red for his reaction to Pearce's tackle.
However, after querying a suspension which would have ruled Pearce out for the rest of the season, Wigan announced the ban had been overturned on Thursday.
That means Pearce can play on Saturday against Brighton for a home game Wigan need to win to avoid being relegated into Sky Bet League One.
