Northampton have announced the signing of centre-back Rod McDonald, signing on a one-year deal subject to completing a medical.
The 23-year-old joins the Cobblers after a successful trial spell during the summer where he has starred in a number of pre-season games for the club.
The former Manchester City and Stoke City academy player spent last season with National League North side AFC Telford having previously played for now-dissolved Hereford United.
