Martin Allen has been sacked as manager of Eastleigh after just 14 matches in charge.

Allen left Barnet in December to take over at the National League club but his time at the Silverlake Stadium did not work out, with the Spitfires having lost four of their last five league games.

That has led to a change at the top for the Hampshire side, who are now searching for Allen's replacement after he guided the club to just two victories.

"Eastleigh Football Club can today confirm that following the club's home reverse to Macclesfield Town on Tuesday evening, a resultant meeting with first team manager Martin Allen has this morning seen his contract terminated with immediate effect," read a statement on the club's official website.

"The club would like to take this opportunity to thank Martin for his efforts during his time with the club and wish him well for the future."
