MLS: Toronto FC's winning run ends after draw with New York Red Bulls

Toronto FC's six-game winning run in the MLS came to an end after they drew 1-1 at New York Red Bulls.

Greg Vanney's side have been in superb form, sitting comfortably at the top of the Eastern Conference, but they had to come from behind at the Red Bull Arena.

The Red Bulls, who came into the game on the back of three straight losses, went ahead in the 38th minute through Bradley Wright-Phillips, with the former Southampton striker scoring an overhead kick.

But Toronto levelled in the 70th minute through Benoit Cheyrou.

And they had the chance to extend their winning run but former Sunderland striker Jozy Altidore missed an 82nd-minute penalty.
