Ronald Lamah scored twice as FC Dallas beat LA Galaxy 3-2 in MLS on Saturday while San Jose Earthquakes ended their winless run.

Galaxy came within inches of snatching a point when a late free-kick from Zlatan Ibrahimovic came back off the post.

After a quiet opening 30 minutes, the game was suddenly brought to life when Maxi Urruti curled a shot in from outside the box to put FC Dallas up, while a cool finish from Lamah sent the home side went into the break 2-0 up.

Ola Kamara got the Galaxy back into the game early in the second half but Lamah quickly restored the two-goal advantage for Dallas.

A second yellow card for Reto Ziegler on 73 minutes and a George Boateng goal 10 minutes later set up a nervy finish, but Ibrahimovic could only find the woodwork in the dying minutes as Dallas took all three points.

DC United - linked with the signing of Wayne Rooney - went down by the same scoreline to Real Salt Lake.

Joseph Mora saw red for DC on 22 minutes with his side 1-0 up, with Real Salt Lake taking advantage scoring three unanswered through Corey Bairs, Albert Rusnak and Jefferson Savarino.
