Substitute Khiry Shelton hit a dramatic winner two minutes from time to complete a 3-2 come-from-behind victory for Western Conference leaders Sporting Kansas City over the Houston Dynamo.

Houston made the ideal start when Maurao Manotas opened the scoring just 90 seconds into the game after Tomas Martinez took advantage of Ike Opara's error to play in Manotas.

Manotas' second of the game on the stroke of half-time sent them into the break 2-0 ahead.

Daniel Salloi got Sporting back into the game from close range after 59 minutes and Diego Rubio then hauled them level five minutes from the end before Shelton struck.

Tommy Smith headed the winner seven minutes into stoppage time as the Colorado Rapids ended a run of nine games without a win with a 3-2 win over Minnesota United.

An own goal from Lamine Sane and a late Ignacio Piatti strike earned the Montreal Impact a 2-0 win over Orlando City and early goals from Laurent Ciman and Adama Diomande gave Los Angeles FC a 2-0 win over the Columbus Crew.

Bradley Wright-Phillips opened the scoring as the New York Red Bulls eased past FC Dallas 3-0 and a goal in either half from Borek Dockal helped the Philadelphia Union thrash the Vancouver Whitecaps 4-0.
