Street Striker search

Coke Zero Street Striker presented by Wayne Rooney is searching for the nation's top talent.

Chance to audition for new Sky 1 series

Coke Zero Street Striker presented by Wayne Rooney is back again and this time the search for the nation's most skilful street footballer is bigger and better. We're looking for raw street talent with the biggest flicks, best tricks and hardest kicks to show their pace, agility and accuracy in a series of challenges at our open trials. So, if you're aged between 16 and 24 years old and think you might have what it takes to be crowned Coke Zero Street Striker 2010, just bring your trainers down to the open trials for your chance to impress the show's judges. The trials will be held in St Martin's Square, Bullring, Birmingham on Saturday 24th July. This year's competition has been blown wide open with Rooney putting more football hopefuls through their paces than ever before. We're looking for 100 players to battle it out for the chance to prove themselves in front of Rooney and a live audience in a series of football challenges. Rooney, who honed his football skills on the streets of Liverpool, said: "This year the show is even bigger than before with room for hundreds of hopefuls. If you're a young footballer with some decent skills then these auditions are your big chance to show us what you've got. "I started playing football on the streets and I know that if you want to get recognised for your talent you have to put yourself up for these opportunities as they don't come along often. I'm really looking forward to discovering new talent, so make sure you get yourself along to the auditions." Auditions will be based on a first-come first-seen basis so make sure you arrive early to get your chance in front of the judges.
