Elliot Daly recalled by England for Argentina Test
Sunday 5 November 2017 19:03, UK
Elliot Daly has been recalled to the England squad for their first autumn international, against Argentina on Saturday.
Wasps back Daly was suffering from a knee injury sustained during his side's Aviva Premiership victory over Northampton Saints, and was forced to miss England's training camp in Portugal ahead of the Argentina Test.
However, Daly's Wasps team-mate Matt Mullan has been left out of the squad. He was suffering from an elbow injury - also picked up against Northampton - and missed the training camp in Portugal.
Semesa Rokoduguni has retained his place in the squad. The Bath wing was called-up for the trip to Portugal as a replacement for Daly, but keeps his place despite the Wasps man's return.
Leicester's Jonny May, who picked up a hamstring injury in Portugal and was expected to miss the clash with Argentina, is included in the squad.
Harlequins fly-half Marcus Smith is not included, and will remain with his club to recover from the sprained foot he sustained in training. The 18-year-old was included in England's original squad as an 'apprentice'.
England's forwards will travel to Bristol to train with their Welsh counterparts on Monday, before travelling back to England's Pennyhill Park training base in the afternoon.
However, Tom Dunn, Nick Isiekwe, Zach Mercer and Sam Simmonds will remain with the rest of the squad, rather than travelling to Bristol.
England's match with Argentina on November 11 is live on Sky Sports from 2pm.
