Striker returns to West Ham after three-month loan comes to an end

West Ham United striker Frank Nouble is hoping to return to Gillingham in the New Year after the end of his loan spell at the League Two club. Nouble has spent the past three months with the Gills and scored five goals in 14 appearances for Andy Hessenthaler's side. He played the last game of his loan stint on Saturday in the 4-1 win over Bristol Rovers and has now returned to West Ham for the festive period. However, the 20-year-old is keen to return to Priestfield when the January transfer window opens, if Hessenthaler wants to re-sign him. Nouble said: "If Gillingham make the call in January and West Ham agree I'm sure I'll be back here."
