Talks yet to take place over move to any club
Nedum Onuoha's mother and representative has told
Sky Sports that a deal with Queens Park Rangers is not set to be completed this weekend.
QPR have revealed that they have made a bid for Onuoha, and City boss Roberto Mancini stated on Friday a deal was close.
But now Dr Anthonia Onuoha has moved to clarify the situation regarding her son, insisting that he has a number of other options aside from QPR.
"Manchester City officials have not given Nedum permission to meet QPR or any other clubs' officials with a view to holding face-to-face discussions regarding a loan deal or permanent move," she told
Sky Sports.
"The latest report of a move to QPR this weekend is, therefore, totally inaccurate.
"Nedum has two-and-a-half years left on his current Manchester City contract and will only make a move that is right both for his career and family circumstances.
"We have a number of clubs interested in him. He will weigh up his options before making any decision."
Onuoha has attracted interest from a host of clubs this month, with Bolton, Blackburn, Everton, Wolves and West Brom amongst those believed to be interested.
