Egyptian set for Oakwell switch

Sky Sports understands Barnsley will complete the signing of Mido on Monday subject to a medical. As revealed earlier this week, Barnsley made an audacious move to persuade the former Tottenham and Middlesbrough striker to head to Oakwell. They have now agreed terms with the player, who is a free agent after leaving Zamalek earlier this summer. The 29-year-old will undergo a medical in South Yorkshire on Monday before signing a one-year deal which will have an option to extend. Should Mido sign on the dotted line, it would represent a marquee signing for Tykes boss Keith Hill.
