Dundee have signed former Motherwell striker David Clarkson.
The 28-year-old has been training with the Dens Park club for the past few weeks and has earned a one-year contract after impressing Dark Blues boss Paul Hartley.
Clarkson started his career at Motherwell, where he scored 56 goals in just over 250 appearances.
He was capped twice by Scotland and earned an £800,000 move to Bristol City in 2009, where he played alongside Hartley.
Hartley told the official Dundee website: "We are delighted to get him signed up. I know him well from playing alongside him.
"He hasn't really played as a main striker for a few years but we see him as a centre forward. He will give us good competition.
"Good experience and a good goal return at this level. He's impressed us over the few weeks we've had him in training."
Clarkson had been without a club since being released by Bristol Rovers at the end of last season.
