Crystal Palace manager Neil Warnock has denied speculation linking Jonny Williams with a loan to the Championship.
Williams made his second Premier League appearance of the season on Saturday, coming on as a second-half substitute for Dwight Gayle as Palace played out a 0-0 stalemate with Burnley.
Wales winger Williams has been targeted by a number of Championship clubs with Ipswich rumoured to be favourites to seal a loan deal for the 20-year-old, who spent a month on loan at Portman Road last season.
I don’t want Jonny to go until I’ve had a good look at him.
However, Warnock – returning to manage Palace for a second time following the departure of Tony Pulils – has blocked talk of an imminent exit for Williams.
“I don’t want Jonny to go until I’ve had a good look at him,” he told reporters.
Williams made just nine appearances – all from the bench – last season for the Eagles, but could be set for a return to more regular action under Warnock.
During his loan spell at Ipswich the Palace academy graduate played 12 matches, scoring one goal and providing one assist.
