Youngster pens three-year deal with Bundesliga giants

Werder Bremen have completed the signing of Felix Kroos from third division outfit Hansa Rostock. The Bundesliga giants have paid an undisclosed fee for the 19-year-old midfielder, who is the younger brother of Bayern Munich ace Toni Kroos. He has opted to move on after suffering relegation into the third tier with Hansa last season and has penned a three-year contract with Bremen. "I simply had to do something new for my development," said Kroos. "My aim is to become a Bundesliga player and to train with so many stars at Werder will take me forward and I am proud to be able to play for such a club." Kroos is not expected to push for a starting berth straight away, but first-team coach Thomas Schaaf has high hopes for the Germany U19 international. "We will work together on ensuring Felix can develop successfully with us," he said. "In the mid-term, we have quite a bit of hope in him."
