Skysports.com understands ex-Middlesbrough striker Jeremie Aliadiere has turned down a move to Al Ain.

Striker unhappy with treatment

Skysports.com understands former Middlesbrough striker Jeremie Aliadiere has turned down a move to Al Ain. As revealed by skysports.com at the weekend Aliadiere travelled to Dubai to hold talks with Al Ain about a possible move to the club. The Frenchman is available on a free transfer following his release by Middlesbrough last summer. Newcastle and Blackpool were linked with moves for the former Arsenal man, but a move failed to materialise. Al Ain claim on their website they have signed Aliadiere, but skysports.com understands the move has fallen through because the player is unhappy at how the club have conducted themselves during transfer talks. "It is not true that I have signed for Al Ain as they have claimed," Aliadiere told skysports.com. "I travelled out to Dubai to hold talks with them about a move, but I have turned them down as I was disappointed with the way they treated me while I was there. "I feel they have been very unprofessional in their conduct and I have not signed any contract as stated on their website. "I am still available on a free transfer and open to offers from other clubs."
