Brazil legend Ronaldo reveals Real Valladolid dreams

The former Real Madrid, Barcelona and Inter Milan forward became a majority owner of La Liga club earlier this month

Former Brazil forward Ronaldo wants to make Real Valladolid a major force in European football.

The Real Madrid and Inter Milan legend bought a majority share in the newly-promoted La Liga side earlier this month.

And after joking his new role of president of the board of directors is a lot harder than his former life as a player, the 42-year-old went on to outline his ambitious plans for the club.

Ronaldo said: "I am really excited and I will give all my experience, all my thrill, all my excitement for this project to be successful.

Ronaldo says it is essential Valladolid stay in La Liga

"This is not just the club's reputation at stake here, the fans' support and the hope of the whole city is at stake.

"We expect to have the whole country talking about us soon, and why not the whole of Europe?

"We have a dream and that's where we want to be (Europe). So there's a lot of work ahead of us, and we are ready to do it."
