Juventus have confirmed they will try again next year to sign Wolfsburg striker Edin Dzeko.

But Italians fear striker could end up at Bayern Munich

Juventus have confirmed they will try again next year to sign Edin Dzeko having failed to acquire the Wolfsburg ace this summer. A host of Europe's top clubs were credited with an interest in the highly-rated Bosnian. However, Wolfsburg managed to keep hold of Dzeko with the player having a contract until June 2013 with the German side. Wolfsburg avoided entering into negotiations with Juventus last month despite the 24-year-old stating he would relish a move to Serie A. "Dzeko is one of the strongest players in Europe," said Juventus general director Giuseppe Marotta. "He makes a difference.

In-demand

"We wanted him and we did everything we could within our possibilities to acquire him in the summer transfer market. "However, Wolfsburg put up a wall. Unfortunately, (Wolfsburg general manager Dieter) Hoeness was firm on his decision (not to sell the player). "We will try again but something tells me that in the future the Bosnian will end up playing at Bayern Munich."
