Bonucci and Matri agree fresh terms

Leonardo Bonucci and Alessandro Matri have signed contract extensions at Juventus that will keep them with the Serie A giants until 2017. Juve announced the news on Monday, 24 hours after keeping their title dreams alive with a 3-0 victory over Napoli. Bonucci grabbed the opening goal in that contest, helping the Turin-based outfit to close to within two points of league leaders AC Milan. The centre-half joined Juve from Bari in June 2010 and has gone on to become a key figure for club and country. Matri, meanwhile, was acquired from Cagliari in January 2011 and has earned international recognition since linking up with the Bianconeri. He is the club's top scorer this season with 10 goals in 26 appearances. Juve consider both Bonucci and Matri to be key figures in their future and are delighted to see them follow the lead of Paolo De Cegile in agreeing fresh terms.
