Mansfield 2-1 Bromley
Saturday 10 October 2026 18:43, UK
Mansfield edged home 2-1 in their first ever game against Bromley to halt a run of four games without a victory.
Michael Smith missed a hat-trick of chances before Rhys Oates headed wide from six yards in the 19th minute.
But Stephen McLaughlin finally broke through after 22 minutes as he cut into the box from the left and saw his shot take a couple of deflections before sailing into the net.
Nathan Moriah-Welsh had a deflected shot saved and Liam Thompson was inches wide before Bromley were level against the run of play on the half-hour.
Mitch Pinnock swung the ball in from the right and JJ McKiernan controlled and turned to dispatch a fine low finish across the keeper and inside the far post - his third goal in three games.

But Stags swept back ahead four minutes into the second half as Smith cleverly backheeled the ball into the path of Moriah-Welsh and he crashed home a powerful low finish from the right of the six-yard box.
Liam Roberts had to make a brave close-range save to block McKiernan and Nicke Kabamba had a finish ruled offside as the Ravens looked for a reply.
But Smith and Jon Russell forced saves from Owen Mason before Roberts superbly kept out a long-range added-time drive from Mickel Miller in an exciting finish.
