Highlights of Man United against Man City in the Women's Super League.

A late equaliser from Elisabeth Terland earned Manchester United a well-earned 1-1 draw that ended Manchester City's perfect start to the WSL campaign.

City looked set for victory as Khadija Shaw finally broke the deadlock with a little over 20 minutes to go. However, it was Shaw who inadvertently set up Terland for the equaliser in the last minute of normal time.

Both teams came into the contest in good spirits. City had made a perfect start in their opening six WSL games, while United had been starting to click under Eva Olid.

It was the hosts who appeared more likely to find the opener following a tense first half. They were on top after the break, with Jess Park ratting the crossbar on the hour mark as they looked to make their dominance count.

Shaw had been having an uncharacteristically quiet evening, being heckled by home fans and marked out of the game by Maya Le Tissier in the first 45. She targeted Dominique Janssen when the game resumed and the switch paid off.

The PFA Player of the Year backed into the Dutch defender before turning and firing through her legs to find the bottom corner and give City the lead against the run of play on her 100th WSL appearance.

It was a bitter blow for the Red Devils, whose hard work looked set to be unrewarded. That was until Shaw's tame clearance from a deep Le Tissier cross fell to the feet of Terland, who dispatched perfectly to snatch a share of the spoils.

The result means that City only go level on points with Chelsea at the top, but fall behind Sonia Bompastor's side on goal difference following their come-from-behind win against Crystal Palace.

Elisabeth Terland scored a very late equaliser for Man Utd

Jeglertz: Disappointed to concede so late

Man City boss Andree Jeglertz speaking with Sky Sports:

"You remember the last five minutes where you concede a goal and you feel disappointed.

"Overall, it's a fantastic football game. An intense game, a lot of emotions during the whole game. United is giving us a big fight. You can't say anything about the result but of course you are disappointing when you concede late and had a big chance before that.

"I'm so happy for her [Bunny Shaw]. A tough game for her. A lot of hits and knocks and then she's the one scoring for us. She has done it so many times. At the same time, we always want to win games."

Terland: We had the chances to win

Manchester United striker Elisabeth Terland speaking with Sky Sports:

"I think with the way the game evolves we should be happy with a point. I'm really happy with the performance today. We could've come away with a win. We will take the point at the end of the day.

"We had the chances today to get the goals. Even in the first half, we should be up. There's a lot to take from this game and this is the standard going forward.

"It's a fun way to play football. If we can play like this every week, it is enjoyable. We are competing against a top team and should probably win. That just speaks for itself."
