Rotherham v Wigan preview
Monday 13 August 2018 17:11, UK
Rotherham could hand a start to Jamie Proctor in their Carabao Cup clash with Wigan.
The striker has been out of action for 12 months with a serious knee injury but is now ready for match action.
Boss Paul Warne will contemplate changes, with the likes of Billy Jones, Sean Raggett, Clark Robertson and Ryan Williams all pushing for their first start of the season. Darren Potter is the only absentee, as the midfielder recovers from a second Achilles operation.
Paul Cook has told Wigan fans he is planning on adopting a "full squad rotation". Cook insists that the Championship is the club's main priority and will likely use the players who are yet to feature this season.
Gavin Massey (hamstring) is unlikely to be risked while midfielder Darron Gibson faces a number of weeks out with a groin strain. Deadline-day signing Joe Garner will not be ready after he only played a bit-part in former club Ipswich's pre-season and Dan Burn will also miss out.
