Fleetwood v Morecambe preview

Image: Barry Roche: Doubt for Morecambe

Fleetwood boss Steven Pressley could name an unchanged starting line-up for the fourth successive game in his side's Johnstone's Paint Trophy clash with Morecambe.

Pressley, who gave his players several days' holiday after their recent league defeat at Blackpool as they were without a game at the weekend, has no new injury or suspension problems for the Northern Area semi-final.

Defender Conor McLaughlin overcame concussion to play the full 90 minutes at Blackpool, while Pressley must decide whether to recall Bobby Grant or retain on-loan Reading winger Tariqe Fosu in his starting line-up.

Fleetwood knocked out Sheffield United in the previous round, winning 4-1 on penalties following a goalless draw at Highbury Stadium.

Morecambe goalkeeper Barry Roche is a major doubt after being forced out of the 1-0 home win against Dagenham due to a jarred back.

Tony Thompson stepped off the bench for his club debut and is expected to make his first start if Roche is ruled out.

Manager Jim Bentley made four changes to his starting line-up at the weekend, with midfielder Peter Murphy making his first start since the opening day of the season, while Anton Forrester made his debut up front and both will be hoping to continue.
