Coventry beat Wycombe 2-1 on Tuesday to reach the Checkatrade Trophy final and seal a spot at Wembley for the first time in 30 years.

League One's bottom club surged into an early 2-0 lead at the Ricoh Arena courtesy of goals from Stuart Beavon and George Thomas but were left hanging on after substitute Adebayo Akinfenwa pulled one back.

Victory secured a first return to Wembley for the Sky Blues since their 1987 FA Cup final victory and subsequent Charity Shield appearance.

Luton will meet Oxford for the right to face Coventry in the final after a thrilling 5-2 win over Yeovil at Kenilworth Road.

Jordan Cook gave Luton a slender half-time advantage before goals from Alan Sheehan, Isaac Vassell (two) and Danny Hylton moved the Hatters a step closer to Wembley.
