Highlights from the Sky Bet League Two match between Exeter City and Accrington Stanley.

Exeter picked up their first win of the League Two season with a comfortable 2-0 result against Accrington Stanley at St James Park.

The home side made a dream start with a goal from their first attack inside two minutes and it came from captain Jack Fitzwater, who reacted with some style to turn in a cross from Luca Woodhouse.

Buoyed by that early goal, Exeter continued to make all the early running and they bagged a second after 13 minutes when Gwion Edwards tried his luck from distance and his shot took a wicked deflection off Accrington captain Seamus Conneely and ended up in the back of the net.

Exeter went hunting for a third goal with Ed James heading over the bar and Jake Gordon dragging a good chance wide in a dominant first half from the impressive Grecians.

Charlie Caton saw a shot deflected wide as Accrington sought a way back into the contest, while Cole Stockton's header was easy for Exeter goalkeeper Jack Bycroft, but that was as good as it got for Stanley.

Jayden Wareham could have given the scoreline a more flattering look for Exeter, but was unable to take either of the two chances that came his way. However, it mattered little as the hosts saw things out for a deserved win.
