Hamilton Academical have confirmed Brian Rice as the club's new head coach.

Rice, who was working at St Mirren as an assistant to Oran Kearney, succeeds Martin Canning, who left the club earlier this week.

It is Rice's first position in charge of a club in Scotland, having previously been an assistant at Morton, Airdrieonians, Falkirk, Hibernian and Inverness CT.
