Argentine striker Oscar Trejo has joined Sporting Gijon on a four-year contract from Real Mallorca.

Striker makes switch to Primera Liga rivals

Argentine striker Oscar Trejo has joined Sporting Gijon on a four-year contract from Real Mallorca. The 23-year-old former Boca Juniors player spent last season on loan at Segunda Division side Rayo Vallecano. He helped Rayo win promotion to the top flight and will now be plying his trade in the Primera Liga after catching Sporting's eye. Sporting will be looking to build on a 10th-placed finish when the new campaign kicks off.
