Marseille march on as reigning champions beaten by Bordeaux

Marseille continue to set the pace in Ligue 1 as Bordeaux moved into second spot after beating reigning champions Lyon. Leaders Marseille were forced to come from behind to maintain their position at the top of the table after a 2-1 success at Lorient. The home side took the lead after just eight minutes when Kevin Gameiro scored from close range after Morgan Amalfitano's shot had been saved. The table-toppers equalised on the hour mark through Renato Civelli after former Arsenal striker Sylvain Wiltord had been denied. L'OM netted the winner 10 minutes from time when Brandao converted a cross from Karim Ziani. Wiltord then hit the post before both sides finished the match with 10 men after Arnaud Le Lan and Lorik Cana were sent off for fighting in the 89th minute. Lyon's bid for another domestic title suffered a knock as they dropped to third after a 1-0 defeat at rivals Bordeaux. Alou Diarra scored the only goal of the game on 43 minutes when he turned the ball home after Wendel hit the post. Bordeaux almost scored a second on 82 minutes when the in-demand Marouane Chamakh headed Wendel's corner against the crossbar. Paris St Germain are not out of the title race and are still five points behind Marseille after a 3-0 home win over bottom club Le Havre. Ludovic Giuly made the breakthrough four minutes before half-time when he finished off Jerome Rothen's through ball. Rothen increased the lead on 55 minutes following a knock-down from Giullaume Hoarau, who rounded off the scoring in the final minute.
