The nominees for the Sky Bet League Two Player of the Month and the Sky Bet League Two Manager of the Month awards for December have been revealed.

Wycombe Wanderers striker Paris Cowan-Hall, Shrewsbury centre-back Nathaniel Knight-Percival, Burton Albion winger Alex McDonald and York midfielder Luke Summerfield are the players in the running to receive the prize.

Cowan-Hall struck three times in December - including a delightful curler against in a 1-1 draw with Accrington Stanley - and earned a move to the Championship with Millwall at the start of 2015.

Knight-Percival helped Shrewsbury keep four clean sheets in as many games as the club enjoyed an unbeaten December and moved up to third place in the table, while Alex McDonald's goals and assists have helped Burton hold on to second.

York's league form has not been quite as impressive but that is no reflection on the contribution of Summerfield, who scored two eye-catching goals and helped City go unbeaten in three games despite languishing in 18th place.

The managers in contention are Micky Adams of Tranmere, Neal Ardley of AFC Wimbledon, Justin Edinburgh of Newport and Graham Westley of Stevenage.

Adams has overseen an upturn in Rovers' form that has instilled fresh hope of avoiding relegation to the Conference, as the Prenton Park club collected seven points from an available 12 in December.

AFC Wimbledon showed great promise through the festive period under Ardley - rattling in nine goals on their way to three victories - while Edinburgh's Newport appear to be cementing a play-off place having eased to three wins of their own.

There is also renewed optimism at Stevenage, who have moved into the top 10 with three successive victories under Westley.
