Wayne Rooney celebrates scoring his 50th England goal

Wayne Rooney scored his 50th international goal on Tuesday night against Switzerland at Wembley to break Sir Bobby Charlton's all-time goalscoring record for England.

In his 107th appearance for the Three Lions, Rooney blasted the ball home right footed from the penalty spot to reach his half century and break the record that Charlton had held for over 47 years.

It's more than 12 years since the Manchester United captain scored his first senior goal for his country, away to Macedonia in qualifying for Euro 2004.
