Ireland right-back has a groin problem

Republic of Ireland defender Stephen Kelly has been ruled out of his country's Euro 2012 second leg play-off clash against Estonia on Tuesday with injury. The 28-year-old right-back has picked up a groin problem and will sit out the game at the Aviva Stadium in Dublin. Ireland assistant manager Marco Tardelli confirmed Kelly's absence following training in Malahide on Sunday afternoon. Tardelli revealed that winger Damien Duff was able to take part in the session despite suffering a rib injury during their first leg game in Estonia on Friday. Sunderland defender John O'Shea is likely to replace Kelly in the team following his recovery from a hamstring injury. Giovanni Trapattoni's Ireland won the first leg 4-0 at the A. Le Coq Arena in Tallinn and are firm favourites to progress to the Euro 2012 finals in Poland and Ukraine next summer.
