Crawley have recalled defender Josh Yorwerth from his loan spell at Merthyr Town.
Yorwerth, 21, was scheduled to stay with Merthyr until January 4 but has returned following injuries to Crawley pair Joe McNerney and Mark Connolly.
"Joe McNerney goes into hospital (on Monday) for minor knee surgery, which will keep him out for two to three weeks," Crawley said on their official website.
"And Reds suffered another defensive blow against Cambridge United on Saturday when Mark Connolly had to go to hospital after taking a heavy blow to his windpipe.
"He was detained overnight before being allowed to return home on Sunday. His condition will be assessed.
"Josh Yorwerth has been recalled from his loan spell with Southern League Merthyr Town."
