Ruben Castro was involved in a bizarre incident during Real Betis' 2-0 win at Rayo Vallecano on Sunday.
After Joaquin had brilliantly worked his way into the area and rounded on-rushing Rayo 'keeper Tono, his cross-come shot appeared to catch Castro in two minds.
With the ball trickling across the face of goal, Castro had the choice to tap the ball home from close range but, instead, he did nothing and the ball agonisingly cannoned back off the post and away from goal.
Fortunately for Betis, the incident did not cost them as Castro added to Heiko Westermann's first-half strike to seal the victory.
