WREH RETURNS

ARSENAL have recalled striker Christopher Wreh but the Liberian looks set to further his career away from Highbury due to the lack of opportunities under Arsene Wenger.

Wreh`s loan stint at Birmingham still had a month left to run but Trevor Francis has agreed to allow him to return to London - even though he is rather short of striking options.

Indeed, Blues have even thrown defender Darren Purse into attack recently and Francis is likely to scour the market for a new hit-man. Francis said: "We now have no loan players so the search goes on."

Wreh made only six appearances for The Blues and he has been sidelined with a dislocated thumb but the 24-year-old will be hoping to find a club who can offer him a good deal, either in England or abroad.
