KIPPE TIED TO STOKE

LIVERPOOL`S frustrated defender Frode Kippe has moved out of Anfield on loan to link up with Stoke City manager Gudjon Thordarson as the Icelandic boss continues to reshape his squad.

The Potteries club had confirmed on Tuesday that they were looking to bring in at least one new face ahead of the Christmas period and Kippe has arrived at The Britannia Stadium on a temporary basis for one month.

The Norwegian had been telling the press in Scandinavia that he was disappointed with a lack of opportunities on Merseyside and that a move might be the best answer to his problems. This loan arrangement should, hopefully, benefit all three parties as Stoke have been looking to stiffen their defence due to a couple of injury headaches for Thordarson (pictured).
