WRIGHT THE NEGOTIATOR

The 36-year-old former Arsenal star has persuaded his present club, Celtic, to take Fernando De Ornelas on trial.

Wright (pictured), who set up the Wright Wright Wright Agency along with former Crystal Palace midfielder Andy Gray, has persuaded coach John Barnes to run the rule over the 23-year-old forward. The Venezuelan international apparently has ten days to impress the Parkhead hierarchy.

De Ornelas is presently a free agent after spells with Palace and Real Zaragoza last year.

Wright`s partner Gray confirmed that the ball is now in the player`s court. "John Barnes wants to give Fernando a chance. He is a player with a tremendous amount of ability," said Gray.

"Obviously we have a bit of an `in` at Celtic and now it is up to Fernando to earn himself a deal."

It was reported that The Eagles would have signed the South American but due to the financial situation at the London club, they could not offer him a deal.
